Please note that there are a limited number of places, and that the course has a resource-oriented focus. 

There is no provision for sharing the background of why you come to the course, but instead how you can meet and take care of your symptoms. It is entirely up to each individual whether they want to be present in silence or ask questions.

As a participant these two days, you will receive a written description of the exercises, and you are encouraged to do the exercises before we meet on the last day of the course to benefit from reflections and questions.

Between the course days, both Marianne and Anette are available for questions. Everyone who participates in this course signs a non-disclosure agreement.

The course runs twice, three hours each time. You will receive a sheet with a description of the exercises and a video link to the instructions for the exercises.

Self-care in the face of trauma, PTSD and anxiety

5 and 14 February  Medisinsk Yoga Norway organizes a course for you with PTSD/complex PTSD and anxiety by Marianne Feydt and Anette Haugnæss.

Both attention and treating oneself with kindness are two qualities that are often disrupted when one is exposed to trauma. The body goes into standby mode and one can also feel an experience of losing oneself. For many, a grief is triggered, where several have told about the grief over "losing who you were," but also grief over the loss of working capacity and grief over the loss of relationships. These two days we open up a community where the aim is for you to get good tools to feel that you are supported even if it "storms." With repeated experiences of dealing with inner turmoil, the capacity and ability can be strengthened - but time and patience are an essential factor. We talk more about this in the course.
